DESIGN-BUILD PROJECT APPROACH
Project Delivery
E.K. Construction 2000 Ltd. is an avid supporter of the design-build concept for project
delivery. A strong design and management team consisting of consultants, contractor,
subcontractors and owner's representative work closely together in developing a building
design which is carried through to the completion of the project.
Design-Build Construction: Owner -> Design-Build Contractor -> Subcontractors Traditional Construction: Owner => Branch 1(-> Architect -> Consultants), Branch 2(-> Contractors -> Subcontaractors)

Experienced Management
The design and management team establishes administrative and technical services, which
are specific to the project. The owner has flexibility in changing any portion of the cost or
construction phase because of the relationship with the management team which works
together to meet the owner's needs.
 

Savings of Time and Money
The management team provides construction drawings and specifications from initial
meetings in regards to owner's building requirements and building structure. Based on the
construction drawings, the management team submits to the owner an accurate preliminary
construction budget. The owner, after reviewing the construction drawings and preliminary
budget cost, has flexibility in making any changes provided they do not greatly alter the
budget for the project. These drawings in turn are tendered and evaluated with the owner's
representative.
 

Fast Track Capability
The management team meets regularly to provide input with regards to potential concerns
and assists in providing cost saving alternatives and maintains an orderly sequence of work
throughout the project. The contractor works closely with all subtrades through a full time
supervisor in maintaining work schedules and controlling subtrade activities.
